9 reasons to choose Dynamics CRM in the Cloud

Back to Blog Listing

The benefits of cloud computing are becoming more popular and appealing for many organisations. At C2 we have noticed an influx in cloud based Dynamics CRM enquires and we believe this is due to organisations switching on to the benefits. Nine of the most common reasons why organisations are jumping to the Cloud are outlined below:

  1. Outlay: A subscription based cloud service avoids large capital outlay, and offers small affordable monthly payments which are more palatable: no need to over analyse on large capital expenditure on systems.
  2. Implementation: Cloud based CRM projects can be quickly set-up, in most cases as soon as an order is made: no installation costs, no need for IT support and server set-up, and comparable functionality with on-premises is provided.
  3. Internet Access: Once your CRM cloud account is enabled you are ready to go: CRM can be accessed from anywhere via an internet connection.
  4. IT Support: The Cloud removes responsibility for the management of your data: IT housekeeping is taken care of by Microsoft. Organisations are also attracted to the cloud to reduce auxiliary overheads: power consumption, computer room facilities, etc.
  5. Extensibility: Other complementary cloud based products and technologies are available: e.g. Microsoft Office 365 exchange mailboxes and document libraries integrate well with CRM.
  6. Future-Proofing: CRM upgrades are taken care of for you: this helps to keep organisations future-proofed and it is one less IT activity to plan for. Overall the Cloud is much easier to plan and budget for.
  7. Flexibility: CRM subscriptions offer more flexibility than traditional software licences: organisations can flex licences and data storage as their requirements change.
  8. Data & Security: Data is handled within the EU, ensuring compatibility with data protection laws:  Microsoft have made significant investment to ensure that the highest levels of security and availability are maintained. In addition to security resilience is also built-in.
  9. Commitment: Microsoft are fully committed to the Cloud for all of their products. They view the Cloud as the future.
